Dedicated to my parents, because they see in me what I saw in the original source photo for this work. There might not appear to be much, but the belief that there is is a true gift. I thank you for everything, and I hope that your Christmas has been merry. I apologize for not being the perfect son, but I will try my hardest and do the best that I can.
***EDIT*** It's a little more sedate now, I took it down to show the texture on the roof thanks to ~TheFlux's suggestion. Thank you very much for the honestly...always appreciated. Any better now? The pinnacle of my darkrooming so far. If you're in for some torture on the eyes, go ahead and look here . Six hours, two images, and twenty five darkroom layers later, it looks like a picture! Yeah! What do you think the title should actually be? |

I love your dedication.....
I love the gradient colours of the clouds in the background. The rust/orange tones really compliment the colour in the building. The sharpness and the saturation really works very well for the structure. I love how the tower bit looks like it's reaching towards the sky......there's the erm wtf is it called? that metal grille lol that starts at the side of the tower and curves round the roof.....it goes translucent...that's kinda cool

I think it's the roof, it lacks a certain... texture? The sky is certainly amazing, and the colours in the building itself are good, but I think the roof needs some reflections or highlights or something to make its colour believable, it's too flat.
As it is, it looks like someone took an underexposed picture and manipulated the hell out of it in PS.
...then again, maybe that's what you were aiming for?
